Founding Principles
"Positive psychology is about scientifically informed perspectives on what makes life worth living. It focuses on aspects of the human condition that lead to happiness, fulfilment, and flourishing”
Founding Principles
It's absolutely crucial for everyone to work through illness, be it physical or psychological. Whilst chronically emphasising pathologies in human psyche however, we’ve collectively overlooked the rest of the very main goals this branch of science has strived to attain for decades now.
Alongside curing mental illnesses, Psychology must seek to help all people lead more fulfilled lives as well as identify and nurture talent. We believe that focusing on what we do best can help us maintain and foster our psychological well-being. We do so by utilising positive psychology.
We are here to emphasise positive aspects of your functioning and experience
.
Our mission is to construct a completely new approach towards human mind, wherein people are able to seek help and psychological development without having undergone massively traumatic experiences or having diagnosed pathologies.
Our view is that the current world is inherently difficult to navigate. We must accept that general psychological distress, burnout and anxiety, as well as plain desire to grow and develop as human beings are more than natural. We are here exactly for this reason.
We are here to help you and us understand, grow, and develop.
GROW
The GROW model of psychological coaching has a long and steady history in helping people alter their behaviour.
The model begins with raising a Goal and essentially exploring the nature of our future conversations. Further, reviewing the current Reality and, by extension, raising awareness to how one's present situations are affecting the goals. The model continues on to the Options stage, wherein we further delve into the potential barriers to reaching your goals, talk about the possible resources and support you could utilise. The model ends with a Way Forward stage, where a concrete and a realistic action plan is developed, that will be worked on throughout later sessions.
This model is a mere structural element of some sessions. We try to utilise as much theoretically- and practically- reliable designs within mental well-being research. The GROW model here is presented as an example of how we work and what we do. As more people join the practice, we will post more models as well as more theoretical and practical foundational elements, so stay tuned!
